As a South Bay resident for more than 35 years and with a background in sales and management, real estate was a natural fit for Hal Licht, who began his career in this field in 1990. He is married to Pam, a special education teacher in the El Segundo Unified School System, and they have three grown children. Hal enjoys bike riding and is involved with the Border Terrier Club, spending time dog-walking throughout the South Bay. He has been active in the Manhattan Beach schools, particularly with the Mira Costa High School boys volleyball teams, throughout the years. What drew you to real estate as a career? "I have always enjoyed working with the public in all aspects of life. I enjoy helping people achieve their dreams, and part of those dreams is to own your own home." What would you like potential clients to know about you? "I am hard-working and very dedicated to my clients." What does it take to be the best in the business? "You must understand the wants, needs and dreams of your clients." How do you give back to your community? "I donate to a variety of organizations and participate in local community functions." What do your clients love about living in the South Bay ? "The relaxed atmosphere coupled with great schools and community." Who is your typical client? "My clients are repeats or referrals and already know me and trust me." In what ways do you provide top-notch service to your clients? "By using the best support team, which includes lenders, escrow officers, home inspectors and contractors that deliver beyond the call of duty. They all work together during and after the purchase or sale of a property so the client can know they can count on this team for any future situation that may arise." What's most rewarding about your work? "To see buyers get the home of their dreams, sellers feeling great about selling their home, and everybody having a positive transaction." What keeps you interested in real estate? "The changing market and the opportunities that come about daily." Do you have a philosophy for doing business? "98% of all real estate agent are good; 2% are great! I'm proud to part of the 2%!!"
