About Rob McGarry


Rob McGarry always had an affinity for real estate. When he purchased his first home at 23 years old, he discovered that buying and selling a home is one of the most emotional processes a person can go through, and having the right person to guide you on that journey is invaluable. Knowing he would be that resource for his clients' real estate decisions, Rob began his real estate career in 2002. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with family: wife, Erin, a local pediatrician, and two daughters, Kylie and Holly.

What would you like potential clients to know about you?
My goal is to create value for my clients as their real estate resource. My buyers and sellers place an extraordinary amount of trust in me, and I take great pride in making sure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

What does it take to be the best in the business?
Consistent communication is the key. It begins with how I connect with my clients, but I also focus on staying in touch with my peers so that I can provide my clients with an edge in knowing what is happening in the market at all times.

How do you give back to your community?
I am actively involved with American Martyrs Church through Cornerstone and the Knights of Columbus, where I have had the opportunity to work with our sister parish, St. Lawrence of Brindisi in Watts. Since 2014, I have been fortunate enough to journey to Guatemala each year on mission trips where we provide clothing, food and assistance in the construction of homes.

What is most rewarding about your work?
The best part of being a Realtor is the privilege of being a part of my clients' lives. Real estate transactions are among the most personal business deals we experience. There is a unique relationship that exists between broker and client. It is no wonder that so many of my clients become my friends and why my friends become my clients.

In which area of real estate do you specialize?
I guide my clients to diversify their real estate investments in several ways. While I deal primarily with local homes and townhomes, I am a big believer in rental properties as well. Over the years, I have worked with my clients on a multitude of transactions including 1031 exchanges, relocations, trust and probate, short sales and light commercial investments. I thrive on the challenge of advising clients on the best way to maneuver our complicated market. As a rental property owner, I enjoy educating my clients on how to make real estate a valuable component of their overall investment portfolio.

What do you do to stay active?
I enjoy running, swimming, cycling, skiing, surfing and anything else that gets me outside! I am always training for another triathlon (sprint and Olympic distance) and I love relaxing on the beach, also known as my happy place.
